FalconStor virtual tape library (VTL-series) appliances leverage the protection power of disk to solve the backup/restore issues associated with physical tape. Based on the industry-leading FalconStor VirtualTape Library technology adopted by many major storage OEMs, these appliances seamlessly integrate into existing storage environments without requiring operational changes. Virtual tape cartridges can be securely replicated to a remote appliance for disaster recovery, and exported to physical tape for long-term vaulting, all without jeopardizing backup windows.

For environments requiring virtualization or provisioning of primary storage in a simple iSCSI or FC SAN, FalconStor network storage server (NSS-series) appliances meet your needs. They are also capable of remote replication, including encryption, for secure real-time disaster protetction. Two NSSseries appliances can be interconnected for mirroring and active/active failover, ensuring high availability operation. NSS-3xx appliances can manage, protect, and provision different types of storage from multiple vendors simultaneously.

FalconStor continuous data protection (CDP-series) appliances change the traditional data protection paradigm from once-a-day-backups, to ongoing, real-time disk-based protection. CDP-series appliances provide periodic and continuous protection for recovery to any point in time, delivering the fastest, most granular data and system recovery available. Optional replication, including encryption and compression, enables near-instantaneous local recovery plus remote disaster recovery, providing an ideal remote/branch office protection solution. CDP appliances can also be used with FalconStor HyperTrac™ software to vastly accelerate backup to virtual or physical tape and totally eliminate the backup window.
