Inventory Management:

Our flexible and responsive manufacturing capabilities can help you reduce your cost per transaction because you don't have to stock or maintain any part of the material on an ongoing basis. Iron works with OEMs to deliver manufacturing solutions that meet their specific needs. To ensure products are designed, configured, and tested before they ship, each system is carefully assembled and tested thoroughly to meet customers’ specifications. Once configured, each system goes through extensive burn-in testing and quality assurance engineers review the accuracy and completeness of each assembly. All inspections and test processes are fully documented and are ISO 9001 registered.

Iron Systems' 25,000 square foot facility provides you with inventory services that help reduce your cost. All clients' inventory is segregated, secured and managed under FIFO Inventory Control. Iron Systems also monitors both the Min/Max Level and EOL & Last Buy Options Inventory and conducts a Monthly Cycle Count based on A/B/C Classification. You can also enjoy the benefits of consignment inventory, buffer inventory for RMA services and Return to Vendor (RTV) services. Through our Web Based portal you are able to view up-to-date information on the status of your inventory and the History of Consigned Inventory Receiving.

Collateral Inventory Production:
For companies wanting to truly streamline their product launch and lower costs, outsourcing the production of materials that ship with a system is economically advantageous. From printed brochures and manuals to CD production and duplication, Iron can provide the services needed to deliver a complete turn-key solution.

Inventory Control Services:
Inventory levels are tracked by Iron, alleviating the need for constant monitoring and individual component purchases by the customer as well as mitigating obsolescence throughout the system's lifecycle.

The Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Process:

Iron Systems utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) that analyzes clients' forecast, materials on hand and incoming materials. To better understand our system take some time to check out our Four Phase MRP Process.

Phase One: Master Production Schedule (MPS) Planning
The MPS translates a client's business plan (Forecast, Purchase Order and Materials on Hand) into a production plan. Once the production plan is developed an online forecast becomes available, via our web based portal, and is forwarded to our suppliers to let them know what we need for you. The forecast displays detailed information on the quantities and stages of each product and when it will be available in the future. The MPS' core function is to sufficiently manage the use of manufacturing resources to avoid costly mistakes such as shortages, last minute scheduling, or costly expediting.

Phase Two: MRP Planning
Once the MPS has been completed the scheduling is inputted into the Materials Requirements Plan. Along with the MRP the Work In Progress (WIP) quantities, which are managed by our SFC System, and the Inventory Records (On-Hand Quantity and On-Receipt Quantity), which are managed by our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, are simultaneously inputted. Once inputted the information is analyzed and outputted into a recommended production schedule. This schedule lists the availability of client's product. Clients are also provided with a Daily MRP calculation and update and can view them through our web-based portal. The goals of the MRP are to: one, ensure materials and products are available for production and delivery to customers, two, maintain the lowest possible level of inventory and, three, to plan manufacturing activities, delivery schedules and purchasing activities.

Phase Three: Acceptance and Purchase Order (P.O.) Schedule with Quantity
Through Iron Systems PLT the MRP outputs two sources of information. The first source is the Acceptance Response to Customer Forecast. This is a computerized automation of acceptance that lets both Iron Systems and you know if we can accommodate major changes to the original forecast. The second output source is a P.O. Schedule. The P.O. Schedule, which is viewable through our Web-based portal, informs you of inventory availability.

Phase Four: P.O. Schedule Feed Back
After the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) is outputted (via PLT) the P.O. Schedule is created. The P.O. Schedule is then fed back into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System where the information is processed and stored awaiting to be fed back into the MRP.
