iSCSI Initiator and Target Support

Supports implementation of iSCSI SAN solution by providing access to external storage systems over Ethernet networks using iSCSI initiator. Additionally, with the ability to act as an iSCSI target, it provides additional block storage for application servers, such as Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft ® SQL Server ™, or other database programs

Out-Of-Box Experience

Incorporates a single configuration utility that starts automatically at logon, guiding administrators through the initial setup. And for common configuration tasks, administrators will have access to all the appropriate tools through the "Initial Configuration Tasks" interface

Centralized Storage Resource Management

Allows administrators to deploy, configure, and manage multi-protocol storage technologies from a central location using the same familiar Microsoft Management Console interface to implement that solution

Modular, SAN Gateway Standard (Single Head) or Enterpise (Multi Head w/HA)

Appliance Configuration Options: Can be configured as a standalone NAS and iSCSI Gateway. Two such heads can be configured together to provide Enterprise Class High Availability for Gateway Level Failover when configured with WUDSS Enterprise Software options

• IPDATA NAS Appliance Head: Dedicated NAS and iSCSI (iSCSI Inititator) Gateway, or
• IPDATA iSCSI Appliance Head: Dedicated iSCSI Storage Target, or
• IPDATA NAS + iSCSI Appliance Head: Hybrid Appliance with NAS + iSCSI Gateway, and iSCSI Storage Target

Storage Expansion:No integrated storage (except a pair of mirrored OS disks). External Storage Module(s) such as a DAS-RAID Subsystem (Requires SAS or Fibre PCIe HBA, supports up to 16 x 4 = 64TB per host channel) or iSCSI IPDATA Storage Appliance is required
